A sensual, soft and wildly flattering feminine collection from the Tagliapietra brothers for SS'12. My only doubt is over their color pallet choices as these colors seem far better suited to a Fall Winter collection, than one women would choose to wear on a bright sunny day. Inspired by a quote from Georgia O'Keeffe about the beauty of flowers, the twins layered pictures of gardens one on top of the other to create a completely unique pattern that is sure to be a hit with the fashion sophisticates. I particularly liked the softy draped numbers. Strong collection.

Luca Luca RTW NYC SS'12 This collection by Raul Melgoza was well executed within the theme of a strong, beautiful 1940s feminine silhouette. The collection gave a feel of a Hollywood starlet from said period going on a sunny vacation and looking poised and glamorous at all times. I particularly liked the various silk (gabardine and charmeuse) and chiffon combinations, for example the pieces with blue stripes and various sized polka dots. The trend for high waisted pants or exaggerated "jodhpurs" shapes continued as well as the tulip skirts. Good collection.

Cynthia Rowley RTW NYC SS'12 Although the collection was visually gorgeous in terms of its colors, fabrics, and styles, it was poorly executed and embellished. If these ultra skinny models cant carry a botanical printed pant how can the rest of use mere mortals do it without needlessly looking humungous?! The poor pant tailoring is a real shame as the print used was gorgeous, as were the bell shaped dresses and skirts. The golds and chain-mail were dazzling as were the modern cut away pieces. Best piece was the white satin printed dress. Fair collection.
